Now "the kid" can't stand up like fans at a baseball game, but some stretching of the arms and legs is going on for sure. I'm still able to walk around and hold it down, so things are well.
Here are some things I'm experiencing...
Nails - I've always heard that your nails and hair grow during pregnancy with the help of the prenatal vitamins. Well, I started taking vitamins the day I found out I was prego and haven't seen any change until now. I don't know about my hair, but my nails are here for sure. They are very strong (which is normal for me) and a nice length (although slowing down my ability to text accurately) so I'm trying to keep them looking "alright". However, the other day in the doctor's office when I had to give blood after my glucose test, when told to make a fist, my nails were jabbing me before the needle. This was a note to myself that perhapse before I go in the hospital, I need to cut them off. That could be an annoying pain that I can control. So I'm waiting for one to break because when one goes, they all will be "outta here".
Leg cramps - Now the baby books call them "leg cramps", I call it a Charley Horse. I was familiar with this calf muscle tightening in the middle of the night pain before becoming prego (actually had one night before the wedding), but I'm used to having maybe one a year. So the fact that I've had about 4 in maybe 2 months, is WAY TOO MUCH! And yes, we have bananas, water, mustard and all that in the house.
Drs. office - Never really been a fan of going to the Dr., but my appointments just switched to every 2 weeks. Good thing I like the office and the doctors!
My stomach is a catch all - Never been a messy eater and still don't consider myself to be one, but I do see a few more crumbs on the top of my shirt (above the stomach) than usual. And we won't talk about that jelly that my stomach caught from my Eggo, just this morning. HAHAHAHA!
"The kid" likes carrots - I had a few carrots left over from a carrot cake I made earlier this month, so I decided to have one as a snack. "The kid" was all about it! I sat there an ate the entire carrot feeling just like a rabbit. Whatever works! Now Charles has a Sam's size bag of bite size carrots that he wants me to go to work on.
