Ok I got this!
1st time writing a letter to Santa
Jesus is the reason for the season! We started talking about that last year.
This year his conversation has developed into a lot of random "I Love Jesus" moments and what Jesus wants us to do/how we should act. It's very interesting to be driving down the street and to hear a young voice behind you RANDOMLY say "Mom, I love Jesus." "I wanna go to heaven." It probably makes my heart stop for second. It's very sweet and innocent.
Prayers that we find the church for our family......SOON!
Also during Christmas, we discovered that his favorite Christmas songs were Hark the Herald and Away in A Manger
In early December, we went to Myrtle Beach.
Check that view. I took sunset and sunrise pics all weekend. Trying to learn this camera. : )
Although this pic looks like Alex is looking right at the white rails.
Relaxing
Hahaha. I have no clue why that face.
Looking like someone put her in time out.
Looking real sneaky
Aaahhhhhhh
The face of "I'm not excited to ride this elevator" She was fine (as in no crying) getting on, she looks around (mysteriously) while riding, but when those doors open to get off, she was not about it. Crying! My mom told me about this a few weeks before we went to the beach as she experienced it at the mall. Not sure what was up with that. However, we just kept taking her on it and by the time we left, she was fine. It's been a while so I'm not sure what would happen if you took her back to the mall now mom. Hahaha
Tears never last.
Alana's 1st time in the pool
You think she liked it?
She was all about it!
Lazy River - December 2015
Here was Christmas card idea #2 (would have done some cropping)
I mean it was December. The weather was fantastic. The pool water felt like warm bath water.
But I didn't think people would believe this was December.
1st steps on the beach/sand
Oh you want my picture? Hurry up because I'm about to take off.
Boys jumping waves
Girls snapping pics
Now the ocean water was COLD, but she couldn't resist.
And as things have gone all her life, she HAD to taste it. She stuck her hand right in that water and then put her hand in her mouth.
So happy!
Yes, I took these.
Thanks Papi for encouraging us to come.

CHRISTMAS EVE love
Christmas Eve tickle fest - Kid 2

YESSSS - we ALL wore matching pajamas.
Don't you love a good sport?
Trying to get our family traditions together.
Christmas Card idea #3 - turned into Happy New Year card with us in our matching pajamas. The family pic we took was a mess, so I was going to do a collage of us in our pajamas. Yeah, that didn't quite come together either. Deep sigh.
Christmas morning.
He didn't wake up too early. He didn't bug us to go downstairs. I don't think he understand kids do that. It was a casual morning that just happened to be Christmas! Hahaha
He was very thankful.
Yeah he's hugging clothes.
Don't worry in the past, he has looked at them like "This isn't a Transformer", but I remind him to be thankful. Someone spent their money on getting something for him. It's a process!
We didn't get her out of the crib until she was ready.
Maybe she's still not ready here?

CHRISTMAS MORNING
MATCHINGGGG. THE WHITAKERS ARE WINNINGGGGG!!!
Ya'll woke me up for this?
Alex tried to help her understand she could open things.
Not 1, but 2 new bikes!
Our life
So anxious to get outside they went out in their pajamas.
Not just a NEW bike, but a BIGGER bike.
I went outside to make sure his dad wasn't being too rough on him (teaching him to ride) and this joker was flying down the street. So much for my thinking their might be a learning curve.
This is how we do.
All the kids playing with their Christmas toys
A few random December things...
Look out for some subtle twinning in 2016.

JANUARY 2016
HAPPY NEW YEAR
I went to church for a bit and was surprised to come home to Alex still awake.
So we watched the ball drop and had a little bubbly.
Then we were off to celebrate Nana Bernice's 81st Birthday!
During the birthday party, all the grandchildren and great grandchildren took their current age and gave facts about what was happening in the world when Nana Bernice was their same age.
So Alex is 4 and he reminded her that when she was 4 the year was 1939 and the NY Yankees won "the big game". He said Batman was created and the cost of gas was 10 cent.
Sorry, I'm too young to give the speech, but I was present and awake.
Oh yeah this awesome party included Endless Expressions Photo Booth (wink wink).
It was a hit!

Alex was SUPER helpful passing out the pictures to people as they came out of the printer. The guest commented on his nice manners and communication.

She eventually tapped out, but hung in there for a while.
But this picture is more for the "I told ya so."
