Finding our Way

We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day. Everyone in the Whitaker household is doing fine and finding their way.
Charles is finding his way to make the baseball team tighten up. The season is underway and they are doing alright. Room for improvement.
I'm finding my way back to a love of mine....SHOPPING!!! OMG!! I had the best shopping experience at The Limited a few weeks ago. I was by myself! Didn't have to rush! Store wasn't crowded! Tried clothes on (twice)...generally the rule is once my clothes go back on it's a wrap. This particular evening, I said oh why not. I feel really corny telling you all this, but in the dressing room I had the biggest smile on my face. I was really having that much fun! Man, it's been a long time since I had that much excitement over shopping. Probably when I finally found those prego skinny jeans. Hahahaha! I had so much fun at The Limited that night, that I went again the next night to another one. : ) Now the disclaimer is I had a coupon. Come on now, it's still me.
Alex is finding his way to more and more foods, sitting up on his own, venturing out (in the car) with Grammy and welcoming his first tooth. At the beginning of February, he was over 18 lbs and almost 28 inches long. The doctor said we should expect tall (around Charles' height) and thin. He is still so chill!! Loves looking around. Loves smiling. His hair attracts a lot of attention when he's out. My mom finds people sometimes just staring at him. All I say is "Look, but don't touch."
He wasn't quite 6 months old yet. Thanks for the Jordan's...Uncle VI.
We make a palate on the floor and let him go for it. Look at the face of curiosity.
Hello I'm playing here.
So glad I made this purchase. I love this triple deck steamer. Carrots in two trays. Pears on top! I would be less excited if I was doing this one at time.

Super Bowl Sunday

On Super Bowl Sunday when many people were holding soda or beer in their hand, Alex was showing off what he can do. Don't count me out! Watch me hold this bottle with one hand. Charles and I had never seen him do this before, making it a FIRST! Hahahaha!

I got my eyes on this milk.

Let's Get it Started

New things are taking place in the Whitaker household.
I was successful in making the FIRST batch of sweet potatoes for Alex to enjoy soon. I searched hard to find silicone ice trays in the stores and not online, so that the frozen food would pop out easily. Well look what I found in the "dollar section" at Target last week. In honor of Valentine's Day, they have silicone heart ice trays. 2 trays for $2.50. Online similar trays are 2 for $15. How cool of a mom and I that Alex's food will come out heart shaped. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
BASEBALL season is also here. Doesn't our house look like baseball headquarters? Uniforms on aisle 3, pick it up! Go Falcons!
The season started on Feb. 1, didn't go so well, but on Feb. 2 we recovered with a win. More games on Feb. 3 and 4. On Feb. 2, I was able to follow live stats from the game. It was through Coker College's website, but I thought it was pretty cool. Not only could I follow the score, but I could see the position everyone was playing, who was hitting, how many balls/strikes/outs. It was pretty cool. We bet Coker, but they get a thumbs up on their version of live stats.
Here's our beginning of the month picture. Alex was more interested in the piece of paper than looking at the camera. He is now sitting up on his own and on this particular day was TALKING A LOT. Usually he'll talk and if you talk back, he'll stop talking, well not Feb. 1. He kept talking (and loud) like I'm not finished. All in all it was great!
