7 months

Here we are. Still busy, but getting things done.

2 clean kids...fresh out the bathtub that is

 Flashback

Bath Time with Dad

Can you see the 2 teeth there?

Or wait maybe this is a little better?

Now I know you see them. (taken just this morning...4/30)

 Sleeping on the right pillow.
I'm a Beauty getting Rest!
So I'm discovering there are some pretty cool small businesses out there and I'm becoming a big fan of supporting them. Here are a few shirts I got for the kids.
Some moccasins for Alana coming soon...
Uhhh...you know I can do this myself.

 This kid still LOVES watermelon.
His grandma had already cut some up for him to take home, but she didn't cover this piece up so he went for it.
And thought it was pretty funny

This is a cute story, but I'm going to get to the point.
Grammy was on her way to church one Wednesday and she asked Alex "what should I tell the church?" He said "Tell them I like Matchbox and Transformers." Well, Grammy told the church and a week later a package arrived to their house with Alex's name on it. A lady in the church heard his request and sent him what he asked for. He was very excited and after his excitement I informed him that we would have to send her a thank you note. So above you see his 1st Thank You note. He only needed help with the letters K and Y.
At school they are focusing on getting him to write his name the proper way (capital A, the rest lower case). We're working on that "big" lowercase E. Hahaha. But we are also working on lower case letters in general so the first time he wrote his name he wrote a lowercase A. I made him write it again the proper way, that's why his name is there twice. This final version was probably the 7th attempt. If he wrote an "M" instead of an "N", he would go to a completely different page and start over. I'm thinking "where is the eraser?"...but that's a pencil from the school they let me take home and you see it has no eraser. The "K" took a time or two because I'm not sure he had ever attempted one before. Then the "Y" he would make his line too long so it almost looked like an "X". Hahaha. Oh the fun. Most days he comes home and says "look what I draw for you." I'm now explaining that it's "look what I wrote for you." Good Ol' Alex!

Until next time...

Best Easter Ever!

First things first...6 month show down. DING DING DING....Mom vs. Kids (and Dad)
This WAS NOT the month of cooperation for taking these shots. Alex didn't want to look. Alana wanted to play with Alex's toys. Charles was just vibing off his kids. So although not bad, this is what it is.

Now to a really FUN time...Easter!
I can't remember the last time I actually did something "memorable" on Easter. Outside of going to church and maybe eating a non-typical Sunday dinner. However, this Easter was pretty awesome. I went to 7:45am service BY MYSELF!!! I had enough room in the pew to slightly extend both arms if I wanted to. I put my first turkey breast in the Crockpot. We had 3 Easter Egg hunts and a great time at the park. Check out the pics.
Alex's friend got a bad case of allergies at the last minute so he didn't come over for the Easter Egg Hunt. So the 1st hunt was Daddy and Alex. The 2nd was for Mommy (eggs hidden by Daddy and Alex). The 3rd hunt was for Daddy (eggs hidden by Mommy and Alex).

 Do you see the eggs?

Daddy said count them.

Easter photo shoot time! Like I said, I went to church ALONE (by choice), but that doesn't mean Alana couldn't put on her 1st fancy dress and coat. Coat provided by Nana.

We're learning how to use our awesome camera. Bare with us.

Alana discovered grass.

Oh Mom!

Chilling!

Nice seat

Hey Girl Hey!
And no I didn't cross her legs like that.

Sweet girl

Funny girl

Alex giving Dad a jelly bean that was in one of his eggs.

Milk chocolate and white chocolate...I mean what am I supposed to say...other than "we cute"

It was a beautiful day so why not go to the park for a little soccer.

Going after that ball

Getting better

Isn't this just an awesome shot taken by Dad!? I said we're trying to learn how to use the camera better. I just love this "in air" shot. He clicked at the right time. Look at the look on his face, his open fingers, feet off the ground. That's amazing...as Alex used to say.

Just give me some yogurt and I'll chill right here with ya'll.

A race to the hill

I'm just showing the distance they ran. See those little red spots on the top of the hill. That's them.

Receiving instructions on how to get down.

Check his down method here.

Then Mom had to go to the top with him.

Oh yeah. Don't mess with us.
Achievers!

Results from that wonderful strategy for getting down.

 We got this!

 YOU don't want NONE

 Another good shot by Dad.
No clue what we're saying...I think it was something about him being a dirty boy.

Back to the car we go.

 These 2 here...

 Never gonna let you go.

Goodbye park

So I really fixed that turkey breast so I could begin incorporating meat into Alana's food.
Clearly she enjoyed it. Check her "My First Easter" bib. Ok so it was Alex's but who cares.

And just because...a little rolling multiple times.

Enough for now. Another post coming soon. And guess what we'll show...the sightings of a little tooth. hehehe
