It's Been So Long

Greetings! Nice to meet you! Have we met before?

Sorry it's been so long since our last visit. We hope that you are doing well and that the year is moving along nicely for you. We're just fine. Baseball season started Feb. 1 and there hasn't been a free weekend in site (for Charles) since and still none for a few more weeks. Deep sigh! But at least he's not on the road as much which has been cool.

Alex is doing fine. Still funny with quite a personality. Wouldn't have it any other way. I can say that he has probably officially hit the "no" is my FAVORITE word stage. We don't get worked up about it because half the time he's not saying it to be disrespectful. So I just ignore it/him. Same with tantrums. IGNORED...completely! Especially because he has so few of those. By the time I sit down and think about it, I'm like "oh was that a tantrum...hahaha!" Potty training gets better everyday! He can go an entire day with no accidents. He still uses a pull-up at nap time and at night. We still have to be conscious and ask him if he needs to use the bathroom (or nicely escort him). He is into Thomas the Train, fire trucks and Hot Wheels. One of his favorite videos is Thomas the Train Never, Never, Never Give Up. Can't be mad at that message even when I hear it 9 times in a row. Thankfully he knows how to go to the YouTube icon on his iPad, go to "history" and watch whatever he wants. Otherwise (on the laptob or Grammy/Papi's computer) it's "can we watch this one". 3 minutes later. "Can we watch this one." 2 minutes later. "This one Gram. This one."

See the video for yourself

Now for some pictures. Oldies but goodies!

Getting ready to go outside. Putting on gloves was a "no". Until he got out there trying to pick up some snow or put a truck in the snow and felt that coldness on his hands. Tried to tell you!

Played around a little bit outside. Wasn't really the "play in me" kind of snow and he was over it shortly because he said it was cold.

Saturday Fun Day with the neighbors!
Sliding and climbing! The slide was a little faster than what he was expecting so that's a look of confusion. Hahaha! He got over it.

There's a smile after climbing and sliding!

That day completely wiped him out. He feel asleep at the Applebee's table. I put him in our bed and he looks so comfortable, as if he belongs there. Uhhhhh no brother!

Just us parents! Yes we do still exist if you wondered! Just goofing around

He can say so innocently, "can you play with me?" And then will proceed to tell you "sit right here".
Ok Boss!

Up to date pics...this past weekend (March 8)

Alex found a friend in Jason! This was their first time meeting and Jason is the fiance of my friend Desmina. I'm sure you'll here me speak to how exhausted I am after their 4 day wedding extravaganza! But right now I'm super pumped!!!! Desmina loves interacting/playing with Alex and requested that I wake him up from a nap (it had been 2 hours so it was ok). He smiled and grinned at her a little bit, but it was Jason who he took upstairs. When Desmina went to check on them (and try to play), Alex told her "no, you go back downstairs." and also said something about telling his mommy to stay downstairs too. For real dude! To that I say...Ok! Whatever, and Jason when you wanna come back! Hahahahah!

When the weather is nice, we go out and support dad's baseball game. Uncle VI purchased "Henry" the train (friend of Thomas) so that went with us everywhere.

Alex was happy to see Nana and Papa at the game. We hadn't seen them in person since maybe Dec/Jan. (schedules, schedules, weather) It was time to go (as Alex had only had about 20 mins of sleep all day) and as he was giving Nana a see ya later hug, the comfort almost put him to sleep.

Back at home, all was normal. Loved capturing this genuine laugh/smile! He was messing with Ty (neighbor) and he just thought it was hilarious.

Well that's a wrap! Hope you feel informed and know that we're doing just fine! We have some busy months coming up (especially for the photo booth...go Endless Expressions Photo Booth), so STAY TUNED...
