Do you know what it feels like to go pick up your child from school and have ALL FOUR TEACHERS that are still there at the end of the day tell you something that your child did or said that day? Well now I do! Thankfully they were all for something quite clever/interesting he said. Here are a couple...
1) His teacher said "I'm watching you." and he responded "I'm watching you too, Ms. Bettie."
2) The director told him that the computer was going to be fixed Monday. He responded "I don't think it's gonna work." and sure enough he told another staff member who was trying to fix the computer the same thing. Alex was right. They need an entirely new computer. The man said Alex is now his consultant.
3) When we arrive to pick Alex up in the evening his new thing is to hide. However, when we drop him off in the morning he holds your leg so you don't leave, but will straight up tell you he doesn't wanna go home when you come to pick him up.
4) They all say based on the way he talks, he's a man in a little boy's body.
I wish someone would create some kind of device that could record a child's voice/conversations all day. The things ALEX says, tend to be quite interesting/funny/correct. Then he moves on and if you don't write it down, he's on the next clever thing.
I thought I would add some cool videos first before the pictures this time.
Alex is pretty aware that "Happy" is the new "hot" song. So he will ask for it and or smile when he hears it. We been on that song for a minute though. Check our post several months ago. Listen closely and you can hear his lyrics.
Here we go. Dad showing him how to listen to music in headphones.
Last Friday after picking Alex up from daycare, I said "You wanna get some ice cream?" His eyes lit up, so we made it an ice cream before dinner kinda Friday.
Dad joined in on the treat also. Alex is going thru this thing
where even if you fix him his own, plate, bowl, cup, he WANTS YOURS!
This is a picture that was sent to me while I was working a Endless Expressions Photo Booth function. Alex and I made Charles a cake on Sunday and there was still some left Tuesday. So I get this picture/text and all it says is "Cake Cake Cake".
My guilty party.
Charles said he cut the cake. Sat him down at the big boy table and stepped into the kitchen. Next thing he hears is "I need a napkin."

So Wednesday night I had to make up for the cake, cake, cake and offered him some salad.
Dad's not here but it's because he's at the baseball tournament!!!! We're glad he's there!
Does Alex know about K2?
If he does, it's not because his mother or father told him. But I might be buying into this kid's intuition thing. He has said a few things (randomly) that prove he knows something. One day he went under my shirt and said "is there a baby in there?". I don't think we had even told our parents so I have NO CLUE what made him say that. The other night, Charles and I did a double take (at each other) when Alex said "is there a baby bird in your tummy?" DUDE REALLY where are you getting all this from. We'll tell him soon enough and when we do I just need to be ready for it to randomly come out of his mouth whenever, wherever and to whoever. Come on Alex, don't share all the family business! Love ya though!
