It's not that we haven't had anything exciting happen or that the kids haven't been involved in or doing great things...it just that all of it was happening back to back to back. Sometimes you have to remove something from your plate and for me...it was the blog. So for a 7 month period, I hope ya'll can share with our kids some of the great things that were done because they won't be able to look here and remember. Deep Sigh. And let's be honest...the only people who really read this blog are our parents and we talk to them often. Hahahaha. Ok. Just kidding! Some others have asked me if I still keep up with the blog so I'm happy to bring it back!
Now to the good stuff. What's happening now.... GUESS WHAT??? WE'RE MOVING!!!!
It was our desire to get back into Wake County and it's finally happening. We searched for houses and nothing made us jump so we decided to build. Oh did I mention that our house sold in about 3 days. Of course when we still had 50 things going on, but we wanted to get out while the market was hot. We were expecting the fast turn around because we had watched other properties in our neighborhood, but when it's yours it's like "OK...that just happened." We really loved our house!! I don't know how many times Charles and I said that to each other during this entire process. We had a good neighborhood, made friends, nice backyard, open space, but for the kids and a little more room Wake County is where we needed to be.
So for the next 6 months, this is the journey I'll be taking you on. We've made some interior house selections so I'll tell you about that next post. In the meantime here we are...
The day we signed!
1st family picture at our lot!
It was my birthday and Mother's Day and the day we needed to pick out the exterior house colors.
Uhhh...I didn't know we had choices.
Let's move some more dirt.
Alana being Alana.
Alana already loves the ducks.
Our realtor tried to roll up on us one Friday night and attach the SOLD sign so that we could see it and be surprised in the morning (we knew it was sold of course...we accepted the asking price offer). Little did she know it was a late night for us too. I had just pulled in the driveway from running some errands and I see her pulling up a few mins later. Busy Life!
See ya later Georgetowne. Thanks for being an awesome first house. Creating a lot of memories!
