Tell me can you see them...top two teeth
I wasn't joking. She likes selfies. I did nothing to prompt her.
And again
And again, but let's throw Dad in the mix
Father's Day
I watched her crawl to the refrigerator and then I look over and she's standing up looking at me. Thankfully when she wants to sit down she just walks her hands down the frig and sits.
Can you say ALL OVER THE PLACE!
Dad teaching Alex all the baseball teams on his Father's Day card.
Playtime
She probably smacked him or was pulling on his face.
They always make each other smile.
This picture is preparing me for so much right now.
When I look at this picture, he does not look like a 3 year old getting dropped off for Splash Day at preschool. He looks older. I honestly had a moment where I felt like this is what he's going to look like dropping him off on his 1st day of kindergarten. Yeah I've heard the mom stories of their tears shed on the 1st day, but this day I had a moment where my heart sank (yes even non emotional me...no tears though...just a deep sigh and internal wow/ok). I mean he puts on this full size book bag his Dad bought him all by himself and travels on without a care in the world. Just how a child should feel. I quickly pull myself together and find peace that he has another full year of preschool and that Splash Day is every Wednesday so I can get used to this "real school boy" look.
Note to my friends with kids: Get your child a book bag and let them tote it somewhere in preparation for the 1st day of kindergarten! Hopefully it will begin to prepare you.
In addition to the look - Alex is also practicing his lower case letters. Loves writing words like Transformers, Autobot, Bumblebee - Is drawing people with faces, arms, legs (they don't connect but hey it's there) - Can identify about 40 of the 50 states on his US map - Is working on putting on his shirt by himself (the large head is a challenge), but he has the rest of the body - Is working on his "mom I'm cranky" and his frustration- Still watches out for Alana and is a helper when needed - Isn't looking forward to the dentist (doesn't seem scared though), but realizes it will be ok - Will ask you to "turn it back" if he hears a song on the radio he likes
And on and on and on...again I'm just documenting for my sake
Just a big girl after her doctor's appointment
She ate that glittery Band-Aid right off. Before we put her in the car I noticed her jaws going like she was chewing the greatest piece of gum. I got nothing the first finger swoop, but KNEW something was in there. She had been curious about it from the time they put it on so I looked for it and saw that it was gone. I put my finger back in her mouth and found it. Man those cheeks are deep. Hahaha!
